affiliated with, operated by, or under the control of the Buhl School District.

The Buhl Public School Foundation was established in 1984 with the goal of supporting both the Buhl Public Schools and the greater Buhl community. Modeled after college and university foundations, it was created specifically to benefit local schools and community programs.

Since its founding, the Foundation has received gifts ranging from $5 to more than $600,000. Donations continue to be made in support of specific funds, individual projects, and memorials honoring loved ones. Through careful stewardship and wise investment, the Foundation’s assets have grown to over one million dollars. Earnings from the principal are used to fund scholarships, school and community projects, and summer programs.

The Foundation is especially proud to award nearly $30,000 in scholarships each year. Over the years, hundreds of students have benefited from the Foundation’s scholarship program.

Community support remains the key to the Foundation’s continued success. All donations are greatly appreciated and are used to further the Foundation’s mission of supporting local schools and the community. Those interested in the Foundation’s work are encouraged to consider including it in their estate planning or charitable giving. Gifts may be designated for a specific purpose, directed to the Endowment Fund, or given without restriction.

In 1995, the Ted Sandmeyer estate gifted a significant contribution that enabled the Foundation to expand its support for scholarships, summer programs, and school and community projects.

Community support has been the cornerstone of the Foundation’s success. Continued generosity will ensure the Foundation remains a lasting legacy for both the community and the school district. All donations, large or small, are deeply appreciated and are used to further support our schools and community.

The Buhl Public School Foundation is an Idaho nonprofit corporation chartered by the State of Idaho and is recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As a result, your gift is tax-deductible.
