February 2026

Dear Families, Staff, and Community Members,

I am pleased to share some of the wonderful activities taking place across our schools as we continue to focus on building a positive, supportive environment for all students.

This month, students and staff at Buhl Middle School and Popplewell Elementary School participated in a variety of Kindness activities designed to promote compassion, caring, and respect. From writing encouraging notes and recognizing classmates for positive actions to engaging in school-wide kindness challenges, our students demonstrated that small acts can make a big difference. We are proud of the way our schools continue to foster empathy and a strong sense of community.

We also look forward to celebrating National FFA Week, February 23–27. This annual event recognizes the important role agricultural education and leadership development play in preparing students for future careers and service to our community. Our FFA members have planned several activities throughout the week to highlight their program and connect with the community.

To kick off the celebration, the FFA will host a Community Appreciation Dinner on Monday, February 23, from 5:00–7:00 PM in the Buhl High School cafeteria. This event is an opportunity for students to thank the community for its ongoing support while showcasing the skills they develop through FFA. All community members are warmly invited to attend.

Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and schools. It is because of our strong partnership with families and community members that Buhl School District continues to thrive.

Warm regards,

Angie Oparnico

Superintendent
