Superintendent’s Community Update
November 21, 2025
Dear Families, Staff, and Community Members
As we move into this season of reflection and gratitude, I want to take a moment to share how thankful we are as a school district for the many blessings and accomplishments we have experienced this year.
First and foremost, we are grateful for our outstanding staff. Their dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to student learning are at the heart of everything we do. Each day, they bring passion and compassion into our schools, helping students grow academically, socially, and personally.
We are equally thankful for our students, who continue to inspire us with their curiosity, determination, and resilience. Their hard work and positive spirit remind us why our mission matters and push us to continually improve the educational experiences we offer.
Our community also deserves tremendous appreciation. Whether through volunteering, attending events, supporting our programs, or showing up when we need you most, your partnership strengthens our schools and enhances the opportunities available to our students. We are truly fortunate to have such strong community support.
This year, we are also proud and thankful to have been selected to receive the Gear Up 4 Grant, which will help expand opportunities and support college and career readiness for our students. Additionally, the Expanding Arts in Rural Schools Grant will allow us to grow and enhance arts education programs throughout the district—something we know is critically important in fostering creativity and well-rounded learning experiences.
Finally, we want to recognize and thank the many students who participated in this year’s canned food drive. Their willingness to give back and support families in need reflects the ideals of service, empathy, and leadership that we strive to instill in all students. Their efforts have made a meaningful impact on our community.
As we look ahead, we do so with gratitude and continued commitment to our mission of serving students with excellence. Thank you all for the many ways you contribute to the success and spirit of our district.
Warm regards,
Angie Oparnico
Superintendent
