- Buhl FFA Thanks You
Buhl FFA would like to thank everyone who came and supported the students by watching the livestock shows, buying animals at the auction, or playing bingo. The Buhl FFA Bingo booth raised over $5,000 this year which paid for our new tent and tables and gives us enough funds to help students attend conferences, conventions, contests and trainings throughout the year. We thank you and look forward to next year at the Twin Falls County Fair! #BSD #Parents

The school year is in full swing and so are Buhl School District's sports programs. Did you snap a great photo of some athletes in action, cheering fans or school spirit at a game? If so, send it to jbusmann@buhlschools.org along with your name and game info and maybe your photo will be added to the Buhl Sports Album! #BSD #Parents #Athletics
- Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program
Students at Popplewell Elementary receive a fresh fruit or vegetable during their school day as a part of the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable program. The program introduces students to a variety of produce that they otherwise might not have had the opportunity to sample. From beets to snow peas to rutabagas to kiwis to jicama, the program also opens the door to nutrition education and helps children form healthy eating habits for life. #PES #Parents
- Global Conference on Educational Robots
Buhl Middle School students Justine Payne, JaCee Payne, Riley Brunson and Bowen Brunson, along with the robotics club adviser, Terry Silveus, recently attended the 2018 Global Conference on Educational Robotics in Indian Wells, California. This was the first year that the club has competed with these particular robots and the students really only had a few hours prior to going to prepare for the challenges. The students did well, earning two 2nd place trophies and one 3rd place trophy. Way to go! #Parents #BMS
- 1:1 Chromebook Project Complete
The start of the 2018-2019 school year marks a milestone for the Buhl School District as we add grades K-2 to our 1:1 Chromebook program. All K-5 students will use their Chromebooks at school and they be charged and stowed in their classrooms. Grades 6-12 will continue to take their devices home with them. This is an exciting time for our district. We believe a Chromebook for each student will lead to an overall enhanced educational experience, increased student organizational skills, and learning and sharing beyond the walls of the traditional classroom. We look forward to the opportunities this technology will provide to our students and teachers and we deeply appreciate the support of our community. #Parents

- PES Supply List
The following standardized supply list is for Popplewell Elementary School, grades Kindergarten through Grade 5. The supplies listed under required have been determined as necessary materials for each student to have in order to be prepared for school each day. Since these supplies are necessary for a student to be prepared for class, parents may be asked to replenish during the year should your child’s supplies become depleted or unusable. There are two areas on the list a required and an option part. The student bringing supplies will utilize their own required classroom supplies please place their name on the required items. However, there is an optional portion of the list, this optional portion, at the bottom of the list, is not required but greatly needed. The optional supplies will be used communally so they do not need the student’s name. Finally, not all students bring supplies; any support from parents in providing additional classroom supplies is greatly appreciated, but is not necessary (both required and optional). All supplies can be purchased at local retail stores. Thank you for supporting your children and Popplewell Elementary. *Click here for a Printable Supply List Kindergarten Required 1 pkg. yellow pencils 1 pink eraser 4 boxes of 8 Crayola crayons (no flourescents) 1 pkg. large glue sticks 1 school box with name 1 scissors 1 box of crayola water color paints 2 folders Optional 2 large containers of sanitizing wipes 4 White board markers 1 pkg pencil top erasers Ziploc gallon bags 1 large Kleenex Box First Grade Required 2 packages of 10 #2 pencils/Ticconderoga preferred/ No pencil sharpeners please 2 boxes of 24 crayons 1 pencil box/ no locking boxes 4 pink erasers 1 pair of children's scissors 2 pocket folders 1 box washable markers 1 set of water colors 4 jumbo glue sticks 1 large bottle of glue Optional 1 bottle hand sanitizer (last names A-F) Ziploc quart size bags (last names G-M) Ziploc gallon size bags (last name N-S) Ziploc snack size bags (last name T-Z) 6-8 White board markers 1 large boxes of kleenex 1 large containers of sanitizing wipes (Clorox, Lysol, Costco) Second Required 1 package of glue sticks 3 spiral notebooks 1 box of crayons 48 # 2 pencils 1 box of markers 1 box of colored pencils 1 pencil bag/box 1 pair of children's scissors Ruler--inches and centimeters 2 pocket folders 1 clipboard 1 package of index cards 2 packages of loose leaf wide ruled paper Optional 8 White board markers 1 boxes of Kleenex 1 large containers of sanitizing wipes 2 highlighters 1 bottle of hand sanitizer 1 box of quart size Ziploc bags (Last name A-M) 1 box of gallon size Ziploc bags (Last name N-Z) earbuds/headphones Third Required Constant supply # 2 pencils/Ticonderoga preferred 2 large quality erasers (ex.
