Wildfire Models

Mr. Jones' Fish and Wildlife Science class at Buhl High School has been learning about wildfire. The students recently finished building model landscapes to illustrate natural and man-made fire breaks, forest conditions, and fuel loads which all influence wildfire. Their models had to include a natural and man-made fire break, two different slopes, and at least one building. Next week they will light their models to see what these different conditions do when a fire comes through.
