PES Newsletter | April 2021

Dear parents, community members, and Popplewell students and staff,

Happy April, everyone! I hope that you had a great spring break with your families. Now that we are back on track, April brings with it the season of assessments. That's good! Your child will get the chance to show the progress he or she has made this year. I also want to give a great big thanks to our extraordinary Fundraiser Committee. They have been working hard to finish our Math-a-thon. We are not sure of the numbers yet but wanted to thank everyone for their continued support for Popplewell Elementary.

These are indeed troubling and uncertain times. This pandemic is something that none of us have ever experienced and hopefully will ever experience again. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding, as the Buhl School District has tirelessly worked to meet this situation's ever-changing needs. Please know that you and your students have been, first and foremost, in our quest to educate. We apologize for all of the changes.

We have two months left of school. Please know we are trying to stay in the course and educate our children. Hopefully, next year will return to "normal" again.

We ask that your family continue to observe the COVID-19 preventative practices of wearing facial coverings, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing your hands. Notify our school if your child tests positive for COVID-19 or has been in close contact with someone who has the virus. Let's commit to working together to keep our community safe. In the meantime, we continue to wish everyone well and hope for a strong ending to the 2020-2021 school year. Have an enjoyable April. Spring is around the corner!

Respectfully,

Cyndi Cooper

Popplewell Elementary Principal
